6/12/08 2nd entry for the day
I haven't been able to get ahold of everyone but here's what I know. Scott's crew is cutting near Enid. He is in a combine and so is DuWayne and Tanner. Mark is driving the grain cart and Marthinus, TJ and Casper are driving the semis. He said the yields are good there this morning.
Also, I talked to Jake and Marcel. They have about 500 remaining that they plan on getting done today near El Reno. They've had five combines running with Marcel, Will, Nico, Awie and Deon running those. Ed is running the grain cart and Shaun, Johann, Dirk and Jake driving the trucks. Marcel, Johann and Dirk are in the process of loading two combines and moving them north to Pond Creek. They will finish up the El Reno job with three combines today.
I have not been able to get in touch with Luke or Richard to find out how those crews are doing. I'll let you know when I know.
It's fun to start talking about cutting wheat again. There's a 50% chance of rain there tonight. I hope it misses them!
Chad and Pam's girls had their last morning of swimming lessons this morning. I'm not sure if they actually went to a pool or a pond in the middle of a wheat field!
