After a couple days of wet, cruddy weather, they are giving the combines a try in the fields shortly. It's going to be muddy I think but it's supposed to start getting colder so hopefully the ground firms up a bit so it's not such a mess. » read more

9/25/08 Everyone is home
Good morning! All of the guys are now back around home, except for Jake's crew who is in Pierre cutting milo. The fall harvest will get under way soon.
Actually, yesterday we starting harvesting our own soybeans. They had to stop around 8:30 last night but they will get a bunch of acres cut today. Preliminary yeilds looked very good.
