Good afternoon! I hope you all had a great Christmas! We had a great family gathering here but it was definitely without snow! It's been in the high 40's here and that trend looks to continue into next week! Have a safe New Year's weekend and we'll talk in 2012! Travis » read more
Good afternoon. Yep, it's time for me to get back to work in the office!
Chad said things have been going well in Pierre during the past few days. For the most part, the weather has been very cooperative. He said that they will have 12 comines running near Hayes, SD this afternoon and another 8 that Luke's crew is running closer to Pierre. When the combines are rolling near the highway, it really is a pretty awesome site for travelers to see. We'll have 24 running by Wednesday or so.
I just got off the phone with Luke and he said the moisture is running a bit high so they may have to stop cutting for the day. He said it's a cool 82 degrees out there today. The forecast looks much warmer so they'll be back at it again tomorrow. He said he has Chris' crew with him as well as Larry, Richard and Ray. His exact words were "so I have it pretty good here."
Our younger brother, Corey, headed out to Pierre yesterday to run a combine for the week. He seemed pretty excited to get out there and out of the shop here for a week or so. I can see Chad keeping him out there for two or three weeks!
Have a good night!
Travis

It's good to Chris' name and the fact that things are going well for him. I spent sevearal hour riding in the combine with him last fall. I was extremely impressed with his work ethic and overal good nature. I really enjoyed visiting with him as well. Your crew did a wonderful job and were right there when I needed them. This is extremely important to me due to having to juggle my job at ADM in Marshall and keep up on the farm as well. Good luck to you on the rest of your run and thanks for your good work and I'll be looking forward to utilizing your services again this fall. Best wishes. Kevin Dumke
